Since you guys see more male steampunk clothing than most people on the Internet do, what's your advice for putting together a simple, cheap outfit for a man who is going to only dabble occasionally in steampunk outings to humor me?

Oh geez haha.

I would suggest going to a thrift store or goodwill and finding some simple vests. And sometimes vintage stores/thrift stores have pocket watches that are broken and you could use one of those to accessorize. Suspenders are also fairly easy to find since hipster style is now in. You could find a pair of those. And then a newboy cap and a plain white button up shirt wouldn’t be hard to find either.

Really I recommend secondhand stores or anything similar because there’s always something good there.
